The Year I stopped Assuming I was Wrong! Lessons from 2025!

As we close out 2025, I'm reflecting on the biggest internal shift I made this year!

I stopped confusing self-doubt for humility. In this episode, I break down what that actually means & why so many of us, especially women & neurodivergent people, were trained to treat our own perception as less reliable than other people's comfort.

I also introduce the concept of Faustian bargains; unconscious survival contracts we inherit that trade our boundaries, perception, & rest for a false sense of safety.

I share the specific bargain I've been ripping up: "If I don't take charge the instant I sense incompetence, I'll be the one who pays the price".

Key lessons:

  • You're allowed to simply not want someone in your life (RADICAL AF, right???!)
  • Self-doubt vs. humility
  • "Benefit of the doubt" isn't neutral (SPOILER: it's often a demand that you override your instincts)
  • Faustian bargains: the unconscious contracts that break your perception
  • How one inherited survival strategy branches into dozens of exhausting MF'ing patterns
  • Why "I don't want to" is a complete sentence
